Tower Christian School Trumpeteer Never Ending Story

Episode 18 - February 2010

Continued by Amanda Fiske

“Whoa!” I woke up with a start.
As I sat up a Hardy Boys book fell off my head. Looks like I had been staying up late reading again. I had just had the most vivid, and weird, dream ever! There were all these grownups dressed in black working for different undercover organizations and -

“Hey Lazy Head Luke! Guess what?”
It was my little sister Madison. She had just finished the third grade and has been rather bubbly since summer break came around. I myself would like it to be school time again. Seventh Grade! It sounded so challenging! I answered the question with a question of my own.
“Well guess what I dreamed about?”
   “What?” Madison said excitedly.
“Well, it started with pink paint on the wall of my old school, Clover Elementary. Someone pulled the fire alarm, then, this guy went in and wrecked one of the classrooms. Oh, and he was wearing all black and had one green eye and one blue eye and...”
“But wait!” Madison said “That sounds just like our cat Ninja!”
Ninja our cat, had both green and blue eyes. And, as you can guess, was all black.
“When you think about it, it was kind of weird that our pets were in the story.” I said.
“Pete and Buddy were in the dream too?!”
“Yah! Pete wasn’t a cat anymore either, he was this double‐crossing 18 year old that tied up Dad! He had bruises and teeth missing from messing with the multicolored‐eyed man!”
“Haha! That’s hilarious! But Pete does have scratches from bothering Ninja too much....What about Buddy? Did he like potato chips as much as he does in real life? What kind of guy was he?”
“Well, yes and no. He was still a German shepherd and his name was Buddy, but he ate a computer chip that I flicked into his mouth!”
“Oh wow! What a weird dream! It just can’t get any weirder...” Madison said thoughtfully.
“Oh yes it can.” I said in my voice reserved for teasing my little sister.
“What.” She said pretending not to be interested.
   “Nicole. McKeller. Was. Mean.”
“No!” Madison said completely forgetting to be uninterested. Madison looked up to Nicole.
   “Nicole would never be mean!”
I laughed. “I know, Madison. It was just a dream,” I said reassuringly.
“Oh!” said Madison, her eyes wide. “Luke! I just remembered why I came in here! Mom just said we’re going on a cruise!”
