Tower Christian School Trumpeteer Never Ending Story
Episode 19 - March 2010
Continued by Amelia Sanders
“...Mom just said we’re going on a cruise!”
“Where to?!” I almost jumped out of the bed.
“Mommy won a game called Color Wheel on TV. The color was pink! She...”
“Did you say PINK!?” I asked. The excitement of the cruise didn’t seem very fun anymore ‐ especially if the host of the game show also happened to have multicolored eyes.
“Yes, what’s wrong with pink?” Madison asked, giving an is‐my‐brother‐psycho look to Nicole.
“Don’t look at me,” Nicole told Madison.
I agreed, because Nicole was wearing a pink cardigan, with a pink shirt and a pink skirt.
“Anyway, you never answered my question,” I said quickly, hopefully changing the subject.
“To New Zealand!” Madison said with excitement.
“Land of sheep and sheep dogs,” Nicole added.
I pinched myself to make sure it still wasn’t a dream, and... OUCH, it was real life.
“When do we leave?” I said with a mechanical smile plastered on my face.
“Tomorrow at noon,” Nicole replied matter of factly.
LATER, on the cruise...
I had decided to explore the ship (there wasn’t much else to do), and my sister Madison had begged me to take her too. As we wandered the halls we forgot the time AND where we were on the ship.
“Luke, where are we?” Madison asked as she hung to my arm and shivered.
“I have no idea...” I said, unable to finish my sentence because of what loomed up ahead... “Nicole’s going to kill me but, it's a,” (gulp), “Time Machine.”
My sister ran to look at it as I staggered over there.
“Look! It’s open!” Madison exclaimed as she ran into the time machine.
How is it that a time machine never ended up in my psycho dream, yet it appears in real life?
As I walked in I noticed two things: First, my sister was about to press the biggest shiniest button I had ever seen in my life. Second, the insignia of who built it was written to the side of the machine... It read the word that would spook me for eternity ‐ GHETTOS.
I turned when I heard Madison’s voice.
“Ooooooooo look, shiny object,” she said as she reached up to press the shiny button.
“Madison!! Don’t push that button!!” I cried. But, it was too late...
